Top Ten Tuesday (Dec 20th) – Books I Wouldn’t Mind Santa Leaving Under My Tree

toptentuesday

Top Ten Tuesday is an original feature/weekly meme created by The Broke and the Bookish in which you make a list of ten to do with a certain topic. This weeks topic is “Top Ten Books I Wouldn’t Mind Santa Leaving Under My Tree”.

26200563Hamilton: The Revolution by Lin-Manuel Miranda

I really do not know how I’ve resisted buying this already. If you follow me on twitter you know that I’m a massive Hamilton/Lin fan and I really really really need this book in my life. I will probably eventually break my book buying ban just to get this.

6547258Mistborn Trilogy by Brandon Sanderson

Specifically, the UK box set editions because those covers are absolutely stunning. I’ve heard nothing but great things about this series and I’ve been meaning to read a Sanderson book for the longest time. I do hope 2017 is the year I finally get to this trilogy.

26864835Blood For Blood by Ryan Graudin

I have been searching for a way to get the US hardback edition to match the first book since this book has been out, but so far I haven’t had much luck. I do think I’ll eventually buy it from amazon US since that seems to be my only option at this point.

22299763Crooked Kingdom by Leigh Bardugo

Now, I’ve actually read and loved this book but I still don’t own a physical copy which is sad because it’s such a beautiful book (both on the inside and outside). I originally preordered this but it still hadn’t been dispatched a week after its release so I ended up cancelling my order and buying the ebook. I did plan to reorder it at some point but then I went on my book buying ban.

27969081Labyrinth Lost by Zoraida Córdova

I’ve been meaning to pick this book up since it was released and I came very close to breaking my book buying ban on black Friday and actually buying this. This will definitely be one of the first books I buy once I’ve decided to break my ban.

25944798The Beauty of Darkness by Mary E. Pearson

I feel like I’ve been mentioning this trilogy on my blog a lot recently but I do want to complete it before I begin forgetting what happened in the first two books. I’ve heard the final book in this trilogy is also the best one so I’m looking forward to seeing how Pearson wraps everything up.

7728889The Diviners by Libba Bray

This is another book I’ve been meaning to get to forever. The reason I haven’t already, and it is a superficial reason, is because of the cover change that happened. I usually like my series to match but I do think I’ll end up getting the purple hardback edition of this just because it’s so pretty.

One of my biggest goals for 2017 is to read more diverse books. I don’t own too many that I haven’t already read so if I got a few more for Christmas that would really help a girl out with achieving her goals. Here are a few diverse titles I’ve been eyeing up recently:

That’s my a-little-over-ten top Tuesday post for this week. What books would you like to find under your Christmas tree? Have you read any of the books I’ve mentioned? Tell me in the comments.

Ooooh Labyrinth Lost sounds fantastic! I must check it out. Plus that cover is gorgeous! Can you buy books from the book depository or they don’t have Blood for Blood US edition on their site yet? 😦 Also debating on reading the Misborn trilogy. I’m not huge into fantasy but the covers are gorgeousssss ❤

I haven’t read any of the books you’ve mentioned, but I’ve been eyeing that Hamilton book as well as the Mistborn Trilogy for quite some time. I’ve never read anything by Brandon Sanderson but everyone seems to L O V E his books. Fingers crossed! 🙂
