Monthly Wrap Up – January 2016

monthlywrapup

So the first month of 2016 is over, which means it’s time for my wrap up. Although I think I could have read a lot more in January I’m still happy with the small amount I did manage to complete.

In January I blogged a lot more, I finally seem to be getting into a routine when it comes to blogging. My stats were the best I’ve ever had, which was really exciting and super motivating. But you guys aren’t here to read about how many of you are now reading my blog, you’re interesting in reading about the books I read this month.

1. End of Days by Susan Ee – This is the final book in a trilogy so I won’t talk too much about the plot because I don’t want to spoil anyone. I really enjoyed this book for the most part, even though I was super confused at times (this was because it has been so long since I read the first two books, I probably should have reread them first) but Ee did a really good job at getting us caught back up with the series. I was slightly disappointed by the ending, but at the same time I was happy by it. It’s one of those situations where you get what you want but not in the exact way you wanted it.

2. Carry On by Rainbow Rowell – This was the book I buddy read with my friend. It took me some time to get into this one, purely because a large chunk of the beginning is dedicated to introducing the reader to the world and the characters but once that was out of the way I found it hard to put it down. I will be writing a full review soon so I’ll leave you with this – I enjoyed this one!

3. Never Never by Brianna Shum – I read this book for my TBR Jar Challenge for the month. Whilst I did like it, I didn’t love it like I’d hoped. I’ll be posting a review for this one later on this month so I’ll talk more about this one then.

4. The Golden Lily by Richelle Mead – I’m really enjoying this series so far. The plot is really interesting but what I really love about this books are the characters, especially Adrian. This one left me with so many unanswered questions, so I can’t wait to pick up to third installment and see what happens.

Those are all of the books I read in the month of January. How many books did you get to this month? Have you read any of the books I’ve talked about? What did you think about them? Tell me in the comments!
